Great West Donkey Farm is our home base. It is here, on our farm where we have raised our children and spend time cultivating our western lifestyle with our donkeys & mules.
Our farm is located 45 minutes south west of Edmonton, Alberta, near Warburg. We love to host visitors on our farm where we proudly show off our horses, mules and donkeys.
Time well spent is the time we spend raising, riding and driving our mammoth donkeys and mule herd.
Great West Donkey Farm is one of the largest breeders of Registered Mammoth Donkeys in Canada! We raise tremendous donkeys with sound confirmations and excellent temperments. We are currently working on expanding our mammoth bloodlines by importing stock from Texas.
Not limited to Mammoth Donkeys, Great West Donkey Farm also raises every size of donkey. We have everything from miniature to mammoth; including many great large standards.
We have rescued many donkeys and mules and work to find suitable, reliable homes for them. Our farm is committed to the promotion of responsible and caring ownership of mules and donkeys.
Our businesses; Great West Trail Company and the Canadian Donkey & Mule Journal both operate from the Farm. We are constantly working with industry stakeholders, visitors and other businesses to further promote Donkeys and Mules.
Given the nature of our farm and business, we are never without a good selection of draft and saddle mules.
